➡️A Retinol Alternatives!⬅️
Ok, i suppose this is where it all comes down to a personal choice, whether you are ready to accept the not a great amount of data, the formulation as a whole and also important- is the brand offering the product, trustworthy!
I can only talk about something that i have personally tried! Never been tempted to go the Backuchiol route because i didn't find a formulation good enough to tempt me!
. First we have to understand that although it's called Retinoid alternative, it's not because they are similar, in fact its all very different! The molecule structure, the mode of action etc!
. For me, personally, the choice to go for #tanu comes down to the fact that with time i got to know Gabrielle, the enormous effort she put into creating it and everything else the went into the formula!
. I find the evidence behind Crithmum maritimum convincing enough to make me want to try! And i can report that so far i have not been disappointed! This is not a review, only thoughts, a discussion! I know many of you are sceptical about plant actives ( but hey, have a look at the inci on the back of your products, they are abundant of plant extracts, for a reason). Plants are made up of the same vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, hormones, enzymes and oxygen that people are comprised of. In fact, there is chemically very little difference between humans and plants. They are bioavailable!!!
. Retinoids, through the fixing of the CRAPBII (Cellular Retinoic Acid
Binding Protein) intracellular receptor, stimulate multiplication of
the keratinocytes, thus reactivating the synthesis of the CRABP
Similar to the retinoid acids, Sea fennel enhances the
expression of the CRABPII receptor, which enables to predict its implication in the keratinocyte stimulation and multiplication within
the basal layer. It controls the production of sebum, exfoliate gently! It's not photosensitive and is antiinflammatory! No, this is not going to be your Tretinoin substitute, but because you don't see flaking and burning doesn't mean it's not working!
. I am very curious to hear your thoughts! Please do let me know!
