How do you balance stress?
Tell us in the comments!
Stress is our body’s natural ‘fight or flight’ response to stimulus that is perceived as a threat. In modern society, we are constantly surrounded by stimuli that can trigger a stress response in us.
There are benefits of our stress response beyond the evolutionary purpose of staying alive. For example, optimal levels of stress can help you make fast decisions, work efficiently and be alert and aware in interaction with other people.
However, maintaining a stress response requires a lot of energy and therefore can lead to fatigue, loss of pleasure and even burnout. This is why finding ways to calm down after a stressful day at work is extremely important in today’s world.
