“When you're traveling, you are what you are, right there and then. People don't have your past to hold against you. No yesterdays on the road.”
An uncharted adventure is never a bad idea. Every now and then I’d find myself with an urge to just get out. Get out and go somewhere - somewhere far away from anything. Everything. A place where nobody knows me and where all you hear is crickets. What I’d do is - I’d just pick a place and figure a way to get there as I go. And this place is one of those. We hired a car and decided to just wing it. We didn’t even know if the car would make it to this tiny village thst is tucked away so deep in the mountains. I was the one driving for most of it and our car would get stuck here and there. Every time that happened - my heart would literally drop. Mostly because it was a rental car and I’d hate to have to pay for any damage 😂 Anyway, the journey made it so that when we got to where we wanted to go we were so overjoyed.
We kinda had the whole place to ourselves for a few days. The landscape was mindblowing. The funny thing is - this landscape that we so admire is just an everyday sight for the folks living there. It’s crazy to think that there are a ton of people in the developed world who would be willing to splash out and go into the trouble of coming to see how these farmers mind their own business. It’s crazy - but I guess you could rationalise it (as I have). Basically, you just need to get out and see what the world has to offer. Go somewhere new and be blown away by what you‘re missing out. There are so many hidden gems out there - and you’d only ever find out if you had the courage to go uncharted.
