That feeling you get when you get into your bed after a long day and the sheets are freshly cleaned! Romeo loves rolling around in the new mulch laid in his habitat by his mom, @snowtigermom and dad, Karl. Come down this weekend and meet Romeo and all of the sentient beings that call Eop home! #eop#evergladesoutpost#snowtiger#newmulch#enrichment#bengaltiger#romeo#mammal#wildlifesanctuary

Flower peeking out to see what treats she got today! Flower is our resident kinkajou, and although she looks like she is in the primate family, she is actually in the Procyonidae family. That family consists of animals such as raccoons, coatis, and olingos. #nowyouknow. #eop#evergladesoutpost#wildlifesanctuary#kinkajou#rescues#animals#thingstodoinflorida#honeybears#mammals

Its #tigertuesday! Cheeky is just like your typical housecat, she loves to lay out in the sun and gives you some serious side eye when you ask her to do something! She knows she's the boss around here! If you would like the chance to meet Cheeky and the other Eop residents, book your private tour today! All proceeds go directly back into supporting the sanctuary, as we are non profit and non state funded. Zulu, our zebra loves her T/A hay! Do you think she is white with black stripes or black with white stripes? Comment below⤵️! #funfact: Baby zebras (called foals) learn to recognize their mothers stripe pattern to be able to find them in a crowd. #nowyouknow! We might be a bit biased but we think Rex is one handsome crocodile! Photo by: @amandamazorra #eop#evergladesoutpost#americancrocodile#reptile#native#rex#volunteer#thingstodoinflorida#wildlifesanctuary

Our dromadary camel, Chewy and his companions, Betsy and Donkey. Did you know camels have lived alongside humans for approximately 4,000 years! They can also completely shut their nostrils during a sandstorm to avoid getting any debris in their pulmonary system. #nowyouknow! #tongueouttuesday ! Cheeky is also showing off her pearly whites, including her canines. Did you know that a tiger can bite down with a bite force of 1050 psi! Cubs are born toothless and once they are adults will have approximately 30 teeth. Their canines can be as long as 3 inches, perfect for holding down prey. #eop#evergladesoutpost#tiger#bengaltiger#funfacts#thingstodoinflorida#cheeky#wildlifesanctuary#sanctuary

#flashbackfriday! Henry is an opossum that came in after someone found him in their yard and tried to keep him as a pet. This resulted in him developing metabolic bone disease. Once he arrived at our sanctuary, we took him to the vet and began the rehabbing process. He was deemed non releaseable due to the disease but has rebounded and is healthy now. Swipe ➡️ to see how he looks now compared to when he arrived! Please do not attempt to keep wild animals as pets! #eop#evergladesoutpost#wildlifesanctuary#opossum#henry#rehabsanctuary#marsupial#native#fbf
