The bushfires in Australia, which have been burning since September, have killed at least 25 people, destroyed 2,000 homes and killed an estimated 500 million animals. And even worse, the blazes could be burning for months to come. Koalas have been declared in danger of extinction. 🐨
One of the most immediate and important things you can do to help save koalas in Australia is to donate to koala hospitals, wildlife parks, and rehabilitation centers.
Port Macquairie koala hospital, located in New South Wales is accepting donations to fund the rescue, treatment and release of koalas, research and education, create a breeding facility and acquire land to repopulate with koalas, purchase and distribute automatic drinking stations which will be installed in the burnt areas to help in koala and wildlife survival, among other amazing things. You'll find a link to Port Macquarie Koala Hospital's Gofundme campaign in our bio, if you would like to donate. 🔗
If you can't donate, you can help by spreading the word. 🐨✨
